Participatory video/film making enables individuals, groups and communities to take control of the tools of media representation. Inherent in this process is the opportunity for authenticity, empowerment and positive transformation. The participatory video (PV) process is highly accessible and inclusive, using video/film-making as a vehicle for the expression and capture of under-represented voices both nationally and internationally. It is a process by which a group or community can create their own film, in order to explore, solve and communicate their issues. I have undertaken this process with organisations for:- community development, research and evaluation, resilience-building, education and awareness-raising, skills training and consultation work.
